First Look at The Lion King’s New Touring Cast
In 2020, the Lion King tour took the lid off of its revamped and reconfigured production. The new setup allowed the award-winning theatrical show to bring joy to audiences in more cities and more venues that previously could not have been able to accommodate it. The North American tour of Disney’s blockbuster show gave the first look of its brand new cast that stars Brandon A. McCall as Simba, Kayla Cyphers as Simba’s love interest Nala, Buyi Zama as the wise Rafiki and plenty more others.
The tour is set for stops in 14 different cities in 2020 and is currently playing at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati.
Spencer Plachy plays the sinister Scar, while Gerald Ramsey plays Simba’s father, Mufasa. Nick Cordileone and Ben Lipitz play the electric and hilarious duo of Timon and Pumbaa respectively, with Zazu being portrayed by Jurgen Hooper. Banzai is played by Keith Bennet, Martin Sykes plays Shenzi the Hyena and Robbie Swift plays the role of Ed.
